This trail is located in the Prettyboy Watershed and is the main water source for the Loch Raven Reservoir which provides water to the Baltimore metropolitan area. The Prettyboy Dam and Reservoir provide a beautiful destination for hiking and mountain biking. There is an extensive trail system surrounding the reservoir and exploring the expansive and beautiful forest. The terrain is hilly but the lake views and scenery are breathtaking. There is lots of wildlife in this area to enjoy and observe.
