Located in Patapsco Valley State Park, the McKeldin Area has some very pretty scenery in pristine surroundings and contains rolling hills and forested uplands. This hike is positioned in the fork of the Patapsco River’s north and south branches offering great water views. Mountain laurel, chestnut oaks, and abundant wildflowers among many other beautiful plants, animals, and quartzite rocks create the beauty and scenery on this hike. The trail is hilly and rocky and some short sections that are especially steep may require some scrambling.
