Wildlife Management Areas are created and maintained for the preservation of game animals and Myrtle Grove has protected habitats for waterfowl, white-tailed deer, ruffed grouse, fish, rabbit, squirrel, and many others. On this hike through the forest, along the shores of small ponds, and around marshes, you have the opportunity to observe nature and the wildlife and to enjoy the beauty that is present. The path is wide and mostly flat with only one short hill at the end of the route. Because the hike is so effortless, there is much energy saved to notice the wildflowers, underbrush, and small animals around you.
