Oregon Ridge Park is located in Cockeysville and features walking and hiking trails, a swimming beach, nature center, and cross-country skiing and sledding. The park was previously used for downhill skiing and remnants of the lifts are still present. This hike begins just off Shawan Road and makes three climbs to the ridgeline as well as dropping into the valleys and hiking along the Baisman Run. Beautiful views and stunning scenery are in store. Hemlock, mountain laurel and rhododendron fill the forest.
