Across the mouth of the Susquehanna River from Havre de Grace sits the small town of Perryville. Just south of the center of town is the Perryville Community Park where kayakers are allowed access to hundreds of acres of undeveloped shoreline, protected paddling, and views of rolling hills and cliffs as well as Garrett Island in the Susquehanna. Expect to spot eagles, herons, kingfishers, and large fish churning the bottom in the shallows. In many areas, the shoreline is rich with wild azalea and many other flowering plants and lush greenery.
