This is an easy-going loop along the Potomac River, connecting two places which signify an age when the ferry was the most convenient means across the river. The ride begins at Whites Ferry and travels along flat dirt roads to Edwards Ferry. The return trip utilizes the history Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath which is now a national historic park. Throughout this route there are gorgeous views overlooking the majestic Potomac River below. There is little elevation change and the flat, hard-packed dirt roads make this an easy ride with no technical challenges.
