The Seneca Creek State Park is comprised of 6,300 acres and extends along 14 miles of Seneca Creek as it winds its way to the Potomac River. This trail is in the Clopper Day-Use Area which features scenic areas, Clopper Lake, and forests and fields. As you mountain bike this trail you will have beautiful vistas of the lake as you circle the shore, great scenery in the thick forest, and you may also encounter wildlife. This trail is short but challenging as it is exposed to roots, steep inclines, occasional flooding, and some quick descents. Throughout the park there is evidence of old abandoned farms and old meadows now covered by new growth, traces of many of Clopper’s old mills, and many of Clopper’s old farm lanes.
