Tilghman Island, located in Tilghman Harbor, is a sleepy small town that is away from the hustle and bustle of popular tourist destinations. The paddling is very serene with a great deal less boat traffic than other similar places. The waters here offer an expansive view of either the confluence of Harris Creek, Broad Creek, and the Choptank River on the east side or the open Chesapeake Bay on the west side. Expect to see raptors, many fish, some nice sandy beaches, and great scenery and wildlife. Take caution crossing the narrows as there is heavy boat traffic and the wind on the west side of the island.
