The Wye Island Natural Resource Management Area give you the chance to explore an island that has been used for agricultural purposes for three centuries. The island also has about thirty miles of shoreline to explore. Beginning on the Ferry Point Trail you will walk along a row of Osage Orange Trees that make a path between two farm fields. You will then hike through a beautiful Osage Orange Tree forest area and reach Drum Point, overlooking the Wye River, and follow the Jack in the Pulpit Trail to further explore this tiny piece of forest before returning.
