Camping

This small primitive camping area is located on the eastern shoreline of Council Lake and provides a remote and scenic spot for camping in the Hiawatha National Forest. There are four primitive sites that can accommodate tents or small RVs and are equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. There is a pit toilet in the area but no toilet paper is provided. There is also a day-use area near the campground that includes picnic tables, fire pits, and grills. There is no drinking water available and trash must be packed out. The cost per site is $8 per night and reservations can be made online up until a day before arrival.
