Island Lake Campground is situated among dense pines just off the shoreline of a scenic lake in the Hiawatha National Forest. The lake and surrounding forest area is popular for fishing, paddling, and hiking. The campground of 23 sites can accommodate tents and trailers and includes fire pits, picnic tables, toilets, and drinking water. There are both single and double sites available. The cost per site is $18 for single sites and $36 for double sites. Reservations are available for some of the sites and can be made online up until 4 days before arrival. The remainder of the sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
