This popular campground is located in the southern district of the Sleep Bear Dunes National Lakeshore on Lake Michigan. The campground is also just a short distance north of Platte Lake and within walking distance of the Platte River. The campground includes a variety of site options ranging from primitive walk-in sites to RV sites with electric hookups. Some sites are tent-only including the walk-in group sites. The sites are equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The campground facilities also include restrooms, showers, water spigots, and dump stations. The cost per site ranges between $18-$50 per night depending on site selected. Reservations are available for some sites but must be made 2 days ahead of arrival.
