This paddle through the beautiful Mississippi River Wildlife Fish Refuge offers dramatic wooded bluff vies, rock outcrops, sandy beaches and wildlife. Wildlife in the wooded bottomland include blue and green herons, bald eagles, white egrets, turkey vultures, ducks, songbirds and other species. Fishing is also popular on this part of the river. The sand bars are great places to take a break or have lunch. Be apprised that when the river is high this paddle may become significantly more difficult.
