This trail goes around one of the six lakes in Wakonda State Park. The lakes attract thousands of migratory waterfowl each year. This makes it a very popular area for birdwatchers. Canada geese, snow geese, mallards and many other species are commonly seen here. The trail is relatively flat and follows most of the lake.
