This flatwater river is fed by more springs than any other river in Missouri. On this adventure, you will pass by Big Spring, the largest spring in the world. This mapped section is in the more populated area of the Current River. There are less busy areas further north. The put-in is at the Van Buren Riverfront Park Access and take-out is at the Big Tree access. This is a common river for paddlers to make a multiple day adventure and camp on gravel bars or at campgrounds along the river. No camping is allowed on private property or within a mile of developed campgrounds. The river can be very crowded on weekends in the summer.
