The first few miles of the trail follows Big River. This section is heavily wooded, and tight and twisty. There are several ridges and ravines along the way. You will also encounter some open grass areas. The trail is mainly dirt with a few rocky sections. There are two short loops in the center of the main loop that can add an additional 1.5 miles to the adventure. Keep your eyes open, especially in the fall, for wild turkey and deer. This trail is also open to equestrian users.
