This is a tributary to the St. Francis River. You will pass through some shut-in sections on the river and enjoy some views of scenic bluffs. The second half of the river is faster than the first part of the river. The river can become more difficult during high water periods. The put-in for this adventure starts at the Thompson Ford Access. You will have to carry your craft from the parking lot. You will enter the St. Francis River near mile 10 and travel 3 miles down the St. Francis. Your take-out will be at the State Highway E Bridge. You will need to portage left at the paved ford just after mile 4.
