This river is fed by the Maramec Spring and you will pass by many other small springs along the way. The scenery here is beautiful. This is also a popular area for fishing. This mapped adventure starts at the Woodson K. Woods Conservation area. There is no ramp but a gravel bar where you can launch your craft. It will end at the Riverview Access. There is a portage at the Scotts Ford Access. You will need to portage around the slab bridge. The difficulty is mainly class I but can sometimes be class II. The river can run low in hot summer months and during extended periods of drought. It is best to check the levels before you go.
