This mapped trail is a very small part of the this multi-state trail. This scenic segment takes you through Ozark hill country and into the flat Mississippi River delta. The further you travel from Cape Girardeau, it will become more scenic and less populated. Within Missouri, the most popular sections of the trail start in Hannibal and ends near East Prairie.
