There are four lakes in the area and Monsanto Lake is the largest. It is about 25 acres and about 30 feet at its deepest point. There is a gravel boat ramp available. The lake is also popular for swimming and scuba diving. Fishers will find the lake stocked with bass, catfish and crappie. Gas powered motors are not allowed. There are hiking, biking and equestrian trails. You will also find picnic sites and campgrounds. Close by, you will find one of the two premiere off-road vehicle parks in the state.
