The North Trace Trail has a lot of climbing and descending. It is made of of mainly sandy hard pack with some rocks. Once you get toward Hazel Creek, it can be muddy. This is a popular out and back trail.The Hazel Creek water level can vary greatly in depth, from ankle to waist deep. You will likely get something wet so you can choose to turn around at the creek or continue on a bit further.
