Located just south of the Platte River, the Louisville Recreation Area is a well-established park with various amenities. It offers camping, fishing, swimming, and boating. There are multiple sandpit lakes which are just a short walk from the nearest parking areas. The lakes are small, but provide open space for easy paddling and casual recreation. Only non-powered vessels or those with outboard electric motors are allowed on the water. Note that a state park permit is required for entry.
