Recreational activities available at Summit Lake and the surrounding area include: boating, fishing, camping, picnicking, and swimming. Boating restrictions enforce a 5 mph speed limit of all vessels while on the water. Access to the shoreline is very good, however, one could encounter massive amounts of seaweed within the water's banks, so if fishing, doing so by boat is recommended. The lake is of good size, roughly 190 acres and features a large middle body with two lengthily channels extending off in two directions. Note that a state park permit is required for entry.
