Gus Fruh is at the south end of the Barton Springs area of Austin. It's on the west side of the river, but best accessed by parking on the east side in the community. One of the great things about Austin is the easy access to climbing. Barton Creek carves it's way through this park offering great swimming holes, trails, and climbing crags. Numerous hikers, runners, strollers, and climbers frequent the trail through the park. Gus Fruh contains some of the best climbing in Barton Springs and is popular. It contains mostly moderate routes between 5.9 and 5.11. This adventure focuses on the center of the wall, but there are additional walls nearby called Kingdom of Ging and Guide's Wall.
