Known as the Grand Canyon of Texas, Palo Duro Canyon is the second largest canyon in the country and offers amazing scenery and abundant opportunity for outdoor recreation. The park offers over 30 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The state park also offers a variety of camping areas for overnight visitors. The Juniper Campground consists of 18 sites that can accommodate tents and trailers and are equipped with water hookups, electric hookups, picnic tables, tent pads, lantern posts, and fire rings. There are also restrooms with showers and a dump station close by. The sites in this camping area are $26 per night and can be reserved online.
