This section of the Shenandoah Appalachian Trail follows the ridge line above Beahms Gap and offers stunning views of the surrounding region as it crests the peak of Pass Mountain. Keep straight after the trail intersects with the Pass Mountain Trail, and follow the Appalachian Trail all the way to Thornton Gap. This section of the trail offers a lot of scenery, views, and ascent for a relatively short amount of time spent hiking.
