This trail begins by following the Bird Knob Trail up the side of the ridge, gaining steeply in elevation through a series of switchbacks. Passing by Bird Knob, with stunning views of the corrugated hillsides, the trail continues along the ridge line all the way to Hidden Lake. After taking a stop at the pond, the path coincides with a forest access road that leads along a parallel ridge line back to Bird Knob and the parking area.
