Elliott Knob | Augusta County, Virginia

The Elliott Knob is a great climb. It is the tallest peak located at the George Washington National forest. The views are amazing when you reach the top. This ride is definitely for advanced mountain bikers, due to the climb, rock riding and the aerobic intensity. You can do this ride as an out and back as it is mapped here, or do an extended ride going north and make it one way. Call the park to find out when hunting season begins and ends. If you choose to ride during that time, wear bright colors and stay away from white.
