Beginning in Mountain Jackson, the first half of this ride has moderate hills along with some flat stretches. Be cautious of the traffic which can be fast in some areas. Near the end you will ride under one of the few covered bridges in Virginia. There are farmlands and beautiful mountain views as you ride through the town of Timberville.
