Beginning from from the Riprap trailhead, this section of the Appalachian Trail essentially parallels Skyline Drive along the majestic ridges of the Shenandoah. From the parking area, take the Riprap Hollow Trail briefly before turning right onto the AT. Following the ridges, the trail offers views of Calvary Rocks and Blackrock Summit, eventually arriving at the Dundo Campground area. Though relatively short and straightforward, this route has fairly great ascents and physical challenges, as well as rewarding views.
