The tired, gentle slopes of Saddleback Mountain are perfect for an easy day hike or trail run. Beginning on the Appalachian Trail from VA 33, the trail splits off onto the Saddleback Mountain Trail, which offers sumptuous views of Greene County below. Pine groves and open meadows of rock cover the face of this ancient mountain, allowing free exploration of the summit. After skirting the edges of Saddleback, rejoin the Appalachian Trail to return to the parking area.
