This is an on-road tour of the very scenic stretch of the Mississippi River between La Crosse and Prairie du Chien. Unfortunately there are not many off-roading opportunities for viewing this section thus a wonderful on-road tour on paced and gravel roads. A long steep climb creates a challenge to riders but the views atop the ridge overlooking the Mississippi are phenomenal. Take caution as the entire route is on public roadways and the rail line between Blackhawk Park and WI 35 is very busy.
