This ascent up Antelope Butte begins with a ski across open flats and then climbs through the trees. There can be a lot of snowmobile traffic on the flat. The route climbs out of the trees below Antelope Butte where there are miles of open country and thus a multitude of exploring opportunities. The views are spectacular with Cloud Peak Wilderness and Cloud Peak to the south.
