This section of the Bighorn River passes through Thermopolis and Hot Springs State Park where paddlers can see colorful terraces of water flowing over from the hot springs. The state park also offers hiking trails, a suspension bridge, reservable picnic areas, and is home to a large herd of bison. The river then continues winding through the valley until reaching a public take-out spot on Skeleton Road. There are a few other Game and Fish access sites located along this stretch of the river.
