Boysen Reservoir is a large lake that offers miles of shoreline for exploration with lots of opportunity for recreation and fishing. The Tough Creek Campground boat launch is located on the east side of the lake and is a good starting point for setting out on a trip of any distance. Crossing open waters may be required depending on the course of travel so be cautious and know the current conditions on the lake before setting out. There are many sides coves and channels in this section of lake that can be explored and can provide protection and calm waters. The Tough Creek area offers camp sites, picnic sites, and restrooms.
