Curt Gowdy State Park is located in the foothills of the Laramie Mountains and is known for its landscape of diverse vegetation and rock towers. There are three lakes located within the park. Crystal Lake Reservoir is the smallest of the reservoirs in the park and has speed limits for motor boats making the waters calmer for paddling. There are excellent opportunities for fishing and birdwatching within the park. There are picnic areas, campsites, and restrooms located around the lake. There is no swimming allowed as the reservoirs are water sources for surrounding communities.
