While most adventure seekers are floating the river, there are also options to explore the Snake River Mountains on foot. This route will guide you from Dog Creek down to Cabin Creek drainage and campground, with great scenery and camping spots along the way. There are also options to extend your hike in to a more difficult adventure, such as climbing Wolf Mountain Peak. This route is plotted as a point to point hike so it is advised that you have a vehicle parked at the Cabin Creek Trailhead before beginning your hike at the Dog Creek Trailhead.
