The Hoback River travels alongside the highway through a scenic canyon before reaching its confluence with the Snake River. The river offers sections of mild, slower-moving currents as well as some stretches of more exciting whitewater rapids for more intermediate and advanced paddlers. There are multiple access points along the river providing opportunity for shorter or longer runs. Paddlers should pay close attention to possible log jams and fallen trees along this stretch of river.
