Beginning at the Sand Lake Parking Area, this route follows Hwy 101 which is closed during the winter. It is ungroomed and links up with more trails to explore. The highway is a groomed trail. The trail system is maintained by the Wyoming Department of State Park and the local snowmobile club. The grooming season runs December through March but riding can continue into May. A resident and non-resident permit is required on all machines.
