This ride leaves the east side of the small city of Lander and follows Hwy 789 along the Wind River until it intersects Lyons Valley Road. Going along this road through rolling hills is very remote with no population along the route. When Lyons Valley Road ends at Hwy 287, the loop is completed by heading north back into Lander.
