This stretch of the Laramie River is a great run for the beginner paddler or a nice easy run for more experienced paddlers. The river travels through a scenic canyon that provides paddlers with multiple class II rapids to run. There is a river-wide pipe located on this portion of the river that can only be floated under during times of low flow. Paddlers may continue on further down the Laramie River past the take-out but just a few miles down there are lots of fences that require portaging and very few public access points.
