This route up Mt St John, between Hanging Canyon and Leigh Canyon, follows a straightforward course up the southwest couloir. The route begins at Jenny Lake and hikes through Hanging Point Canyon by beautiful lakes to the base of the peak. Follow the couloir that emerges just west of the summit and begins just west of the Lake of the Crags. In late season, most of the snow can be bypassed.
