The plotted trail is only a portion of a long shuttle hike that would take you past Mary lake and through the Hayden Valley back to the Grand Loop rd. This is an out and back version with possibly the more scenic part of the trail to Lake Mary. Be prepared to ford the shallow creek a couple of times since there is no bridge. Feel free to turn back whenever you feel that you've seen enough.
