The North Platte River is located at the base of the Snowy Range Mountains and is a scenic relaxing float. The river offers great fishing, solitude, and lots of opportunity for wildlife viewing. The North Platte River travels through both public lands as well as private lands so colored signs have been posted along the letting paddlers know if the access is public or private. There are developed boat launches at both Government Bridge and the take-out spot at the Sechrist.
