The North Platte River is located at the base of the Snowy Range Mountains and is a scenic relaxing float. The river offers great fishing, solitude, and lots of opportunity for wildlife viewing. The North Platte River travels through both public lands as well as private lands so colored signs have been posted at river access sites letting paddlers know if the access site is public or private. The river continues past Government Bridge to many more access points for visitors wanting to cover more distance.
