Located in Shoshone National Forest, this scenic mountain lake is very remote with beautiful scenery. The lake and surrounding area offers a lot of opportunity for birdwatching, wildlife viewing, fishing, and hiking. There is public access to the lake but parts of the lake are located along private lands so make sure to use appropriate access sites for put-in and take-out by paying attention to signs and postings. There are picnic areas and primitive campsites available along Trail Lake Road.
