East of Shell, this trail along Salt Creek is not groomed, but is popular and frequented and thus there is usually a trail set. The route climbs through the forest and opens up into a large gorgeous bowl. Snowmobiles are not allowed on this trail, making for a very peaceful ski. Use caution, as moose are common in the area.
