This is the long version of the several rewarding hikes around Sheep Mountain. Due to the length it's best done as a shuttle and this one begins at the southern trailhead and ends at the north end. The Sheep Mountain Game Refuge is a very popular hunting area so you may want to plan your adventure around hunting season. This is also a popular mountain biking trail.
