Sitting in the shadows of the towering granite peaks, this leisure hike is a great family adventure. A flat loop around the placid lake is good for all ages and is even wheel chair accessible for the first 0.3 mile. String Lake makes for good early season hiking as its snow is some of the first to melt. Sandy beaches and picnic areas are not hard to find on this stroll around the lake.
