This was on of the first peaks climbed in the Tetons and has impressive views of Grand Teton. The easiest route up is on the western slope and is not technical. This route ascends up Heartbreak Ridge and is a technical climb. Begin by following the Jenny Lake Trail and then the Cascade Canyon Trail to the eastern base of Table Mountain. The route then begins a moderate 150 foot climb up an excellent golden rock slab and then a ramp and corner on the left side of the crest. The third pitch goes up cracks and then is a scramble up the crest. Another scramble leads to a corner climb and then a bely on a big ledge. The seventh pitch traverses across a black face below a 'nose.' Stay to the left of the nose for a 5.7 climb and then continue on up to the top of the crest and along the top of the table to the summit. If an easier descent is desired, use the west or south faces.
